It’s almost time for the next Manchester Born Survivor in 2016! Heralded as the Ultimate Military Obstacle Course Race, Born Survivor isn’t a gimmicky mud run, it has been designed by Royal Marines Commando’s to test you both mentally and physically. I can say from first hand that it was a tough course, but also great fun. Here is a video of our run from Born Survivor Manchester. Capesthorne Hall in 2015, filmed on head mounted Go Pros:

The next Manchester Born Survivor is on the 26th September, and returns once again to Capesthorne Hall. For those that don’t know about Capesthorne Hall, it is a beautiful location with a rugged and varied landscape ideal for this kind of event. The course is approximately 10km in distance, and has over 30 obstacles. The obstacles range from the simple, such as climbing and crawling obstacles like “Step it Up” and “Eat Dirt Soldier”, to the tough like “Punishment Hill” and the “Grenade Monkey Bars”, the scary like “Drop Zone Alpha”, and the ridiculously muddy like the “Fire Trenches”. Some of the obstacles involve teamwork, so you will need to work together to get over some of the obstacles like “The Beast”, which is a 10 ft wall. The spirit of the competitors on the day is amazing, so if you’re on your own there will be someone around that you can work with.
Completing the event is a major accomplishment, and you will feel amazing when you make it to the end. I would recommend it to almost anyone, and especially as a team or corporate event for your business to build moral and teamwork. Tickets are still available now on the Born Survivor Website, and with just under 8 weeks until the big day you still have plenty of time to get your training in.
